The Chalet Tearooms Portinscale
The Chalet Tearooms is situated in the Lakeland village of Portinscale nestled on the shores of Derwentwater. A place where you can enjoy walks, hire boats and hop on the launches to and from Keswick.
Try one of the many Wainwright fell walks including the famous Catbells (which translates into shelter of the wild cat) the best views in the whole of the Lake District in our opinion. Portinscale village is a great base for the keen Lakeland adventurer or rambler alike.
We welcome ramblers and their dogs, cyclists will find electric bike charging, outdoor seating and Whinlatter Forest close by, C2C riders often stop off for a well earned break. If you just want a tasty lunch or snack homemade cakes and gf/vegan options ate here, there’s something for everyone at The Chalet Tearooms.
Open all year round The Chalet is dog friendly and car parking is available, however we are only 15 min walk from Keswick town and have watersports nearby.
